July 18-A Double Feast: Getting More Out of Mass                       Douglas Leal

At every Mass, we are fed abundantly from two tables: the Table of the Word and the Table of the Eucharist. Are we taking full advantage of the opportunity to receive from both? Especially, how can we better connect with scripture at Mass? We’ll share some practical suggestions for getting more out of mass and connecting it more deeply with our day to day lives as young adults.

Douglas Leal is currently Vice President of Mission Integration with Providence St. Joseph Health. Previously, he was Director of Adult Faith Formation and Young Adult Ministry with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He also has experience as a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and as a professional actor and director. Douglas is the author of Stop Reading and Start Proclaiming! and the co-author of the Workbook for Lectors. He holds an MA from the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. www.douglasleal.com
