Dear beloved St. Monica family,

I’ve had a good weekend, and I have taken medication since Friday afternoon. I miss you all very much, especially as I celebrate 57 years of priesthood today: May 1. I have great memories of all the years, but I’m incredibly grateful to all of you. God has allowed me to be your pastor for 35 years, and it has been the blessing and joy of my life. I will return soon and personally thank you, but I wanted to write to you this morning. No words of mine can convey my love adequately for you and my gratitude for the incredible mercy of my God! Prayers and love this weekend.
