Most children engage in age-appropriate behaviors, exploring their bodies to understand how they work. It is important for parents and caregivers to understand the difference between natural, healthy curiosity and inappropriate behaviors that would raise red flags suggesting possible abuse. Any sexual behaviors that a child exhibits in a way that is hostile, aggressive, or overtly sexual should raise concern. Learn more about these differences in the VIRTUS® article The Issue of Child-on-Child Sexual Abuse at https://lacatholics.org/did-you-know/.
