A predator often works within a culture of silence to isolate and abuse children. When parents and other trusted adults fail to see the warning signs of abuse, silence can cause deep harm to young victims. Sometimes, an adult who is willing to simply listen without judgment or disbelief can save a child from abuse. Communication and listening can be lifesaving.
