JustFaith is a small group process that invites participants to explore the Gospel call to compassion and justice. JustFaith is an intensive and successful model of justice education and spiritual formation that consists of weekly meetings, and employs books, videos, speakers, discussion, prayer, retreats, and hands-on experiences. The intent is to provide a tapestry of learning opportunities that emphasize and enliven the remarkable justice tradition of the Catholic Church. Participants have the privilege of becoming community with others and sharing a journey of faith and compassion that is both life-giving and challenging.

JustFaith - Faith & Poverty: A Justice Response

Wednesday Nights, Jun. 23-Aug. 11, 2021 on Zoom.

Faith and Poverty: A Justice Response awakens participants to systemic barriers that keep people from rising out of poverty, barriers which are often invisible to those of us who don’t have to face them. This program also equips participants to work for change and healing within their communities.

The goals of the program are:

  • To learn about systemic barriers that make it difficult for people to rise out of poverty.
  • To study the techniques and teachings of spiritual leaders including Pope Francis, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Oscar Romero, and Bryan Stevenson.
  • To discern individual and social actions to work for systemic change in your community.
Course consists of eight Wednesday night sessions - 7:00-9:00 p.m.
