During the holidays, many people travel to see family. It’s important to be prepared for any dangers of traveling, including human trafficking — and to know the facts about abductions and trafficking. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), about 100 children per year are abducted by strangers across the nation. Although most abductions involve someone the victim knows and even trusts, “stranger danger” still exists. Always be careful in protecting our children and young people wherever they are.
