The practice of requesting a Mass to be offered for loved ones, living or deceased, is a beautiful and wonderful part of our Catholic tradition. Continuing this long-standing Catholic practice, St. Monica welcomes requests for “Mass Intentions” from parishioners. You can remember someone who has died recently or many years ago. But the intentions do not have to be just for the dead. They make beautiful gifts for any special occasion: birthday, anniversary, in thanksgiving for a prayer answered, etc. And to offer an intention for someone who is struggling with a serious illness or other life trauma shows you want the Lord to support them in their need.
There is a suggested donation of $10 for Mass intentions on Tuesday through Saturday and $20 on Sundays. We ask that all donations be made by check. Mass cards are available when scheduling your request and are to be given to the family of a deceased person or to the living person for whom a Mass is to be offered.
The Parish Office is located inside the Caruso Community Center at 725 California Avenue (on the corner of Lincoln Blvd. and California Avenue).
