The mission of the St. Monica Africa Education is to support young people by providing a pathway out of extreme poverty through education. Our primary area of contribution has been and will continue to be tuition financial assistance, although we also work with local administration to determine any additional areas of need for St. James students.

As we kick off our yearly St. Monica Africa Ministry Education Fundraiser, we extend our heartfelt thanks for your ongoing "gift of education" to our Dandora brothers and sisters. Our 2025 campaign raised just north of $57,000, consistent with the healthiest of Education campaigns in recent years. For 24 years and counting, your contributions have helped transform lives, fostering self-sufficiency and family support and that will only continue in 2026 and beyond.

Last year, your generosity provided life-changing tuition assistance to 70 at-risk learners at St. James School:

• Full Tuition for 16 Students: Ensuring uninterrupted education for those facing extreme destitution.
• Emergency Assistance for 54 Families: Helping clear balances for families facing sudden tragedies, illness, or loss.

Your goodwill directly impacted children like Brian, who suddenly lost his father, and Tamara, whose mother passed away from cancer. Because of you, these 70 students didn't have to drop out; instead, they received an education they will carry with them forever.

This summer help support a child in Kenya’s dream for an education. Our Education Committee is preparing for this summer’s drive to raise funds for financial assistance for students and other educational priorities as needed by our sister parish in Kenya.
