This morning we joined the Missionaries of Charity for Mass, surrounded by a spirit of vibrancy and love. The sisters radiated joy in their ministry, and their welcome was full of warmth. Their work and presence in the Dandora community left many of us inspired and moved.
In the afternoon, we gathered for lunch at Makutano Restaurant and stopped at Utamaduni Crafts, where we explored local art, culture, and handmade goods—each piece a reflection of Kenya’s rich creative spirit.
Later, we visited the orphanage, where we had the opportunity to simply be present—with open hands, open hearts, and lots of smiles. We played games, shared conversation, and experienced the kind of connection that transcends language. The children’s energy and resilience reminded us what grace looks like in motion.
The day closed with a banquet among our friends from Dandora. Around the table were parishioners, clergy, and travelers—all united by faith and years of shared partnership. There was laughter, gratitude, music, and connection. It wasn’t just a dinner—it was a celebration of what’s possible when communities walk together.
Today reminded us that love is both action and presence. From service to celebration, we saw the strength of this partnership—and the joy that continues to grow from it.
