Fasting Fridays

Each Friday this Lent, we'll be encouraging you to fast from something and to see what happens in your relationships with God, yourself and others.

This week, the fast challenge is indeed c11.18 fastingfriday 1hallenging!  It's easy to be very attached to our phones and social media, and it can be staggering to realize how much time we spend on them everyday.  So, consider fasting from checking your cell phone or social media throughout the day.

Give yourself three times to check your phone for important phone or text messages (think breakfast, lunch & dinner), and respond only to those messages that you absolutely need to. Then put your phone out of sight and get ready to see what happens next!  (If you feel tempted to check your phone, first take a minute to say a prayer, and see how God responds.)
