If a minor has had nude or explicit images or videos published on the internet, there is assistance to remove those images online. Take It Down is a free service provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that helps to stop the sharing of explicit images taken of victims under the age of 18. Users can remain anonymous, and do not have to send or share their images to anyone. Take It Down uses public, unencrypted online platforms to remove these images from the internet.
