Apr. 30 - May 2 via Zoom | See Course Schedule below
The SKY Meditation Retreat, offered by the Art of Living Ministry at Saint Monica’s, teaches breathing and meditation techniques which help parishioners prepare for prayer, reduce stress, and experience deep levels of interior silence in their everyday lives. The 9-hour workshop features practical wisdom on how to develop a contemplative approach to life by centering one’s mind and emotions, and by being of service to the community.
The retreat will be conducted by Saint Monica parishioners John Osborne and Catharine Dada. John has been teaching meditation and breathwork to faith-based groups for the last 45 years and was formerly a Trappist monk at Saint Joseph’s Abbey in Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Hamilton College and Yale Divinity School.
Catharine teaches classical acting at Loyola Marymount University, following a career with the Royal Shakespeare Company. She holds a PhD in Religious Studies and an MA (Hons) in the Study of Mysticism & Religious Experience, both from the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK.
