Over the past several years, the Catholic Church has taken substantial steps to ensure that children and vulnerable adults will be safe in our churches, schools, and all forms of church ministry. One part of this promise is training and orienting all volunteers to know how to protect children and vulnerable adults. To fulfill this promise, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles mandates all staff, whether paid or volunteer, and all volunteers who work in any capacity with or around children, the elderly, the vulnerable, or people with special needs are required to complete the initial three-hour VIRTUS® Protecting God’s Children for Adults.
