Msgr. Torgerson shared a powerful plea from our Holy Father regarding the Coronavirus:

We ask the Lord today for the grace of not falling into indifference, the grace that all the information we have about human suffering might penetrate our hearts and move us to do something for others. - Pope Francis

Let us not fall into indifference

Saint Monica has received an overwhelming response from our parishioners to help those in need.
We are prepared to offer several opportunities for volunteers to assist our community during these uncertain times.

Do you know of an elderly or otherwise vulnerable individual that could use some extra care during this difficult time? We have provided a form for you to include their information so that someone in our community can check on them.

All of these efforts would not be possible without help from our community. We ask that you also consider making a donation to our community's efforts, so that we can keep our livestream ministry, our help to the needy, and our church running through this trying time, as we look hopefully to the continued health and safety of our community. Please consider a donation: stmonica.net/give

We hope this encourages you to #belovedinthisplace and in spiritual communion with us — knowing you can “pray where you are."

Ways you Can Help

We have a few opportunities for individuals to use their resources, time, and energy to help to provide for those in our community that might need some support during the COVID-19 Outbreak.

The most effective way to help is to pray for those that are experiencing hardships and to remember that we are all called to be stewards of our community.

Our parish relies on the support of our community, to keep the lights on, to aid in providing for our livestream technology and digital needs, as well as providing support to our staff, which in turn supports our entire parish.

If you are interested in giving to Saint Monica, please check out our website at stmonica.net/give - whatever you can give will allow us to continue to make an impact in our community and to help those most at risk.

In Need of Help?

If you require some support or if you are looking to find support for someone, please fill out the form with the individuals complete information. For those who do not have the internet, please call the Parish Office at (310) 566-1500.

Saint Monica is not an emergency shelter, nor do we provide emergency services to the public. If you or someone you know is experiencing an emergency, please contact the proper authorities.  We can provide assistance in the current capacity: -Phone Call check-ins -Mailers with prayer cards, bulletin, and other religious articles -Volunteers that can assist you in grocery shopping (at this time, we cannot provide funds for grocery shopping needs) -Additional support on a case by case, as needed basis
