Together in Mission “Forward with Faith” 2021 Annual Appeal launches this weekend. One in every 5 parishes need financial assistance and 1 in every 4 Catholic Schools need critical funding to keep their doors open. Our community has proven how strongly we believe in supporting Catholic Education and parishes in need. This year’s Parish Goal is $305,000 – every penny counts toward these critical needs, which have only increased with the Pandemic. As #LACatholics we believe, we pray together, and we support each other.

During the most difficult moments in our lives, whether due to the loss of a beloved family member or the stress of losing a job, St. Monica has been there to #ServeSupportSustain our community. If we can, let us give back to those parishes and schools that are in need - many have closed due to the pandemic and still others are in danger of closing. We can make an impact by pledging today.

Our community is always willing to heed the call to unite and move "Forward with Faith." Even a gift of $25 can help students, families, and parish communities across the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. So many are depending on us to give generously and we know our community is beyond generous – let’s help keep all our parishes and schools thriving #StillStMonica.

Your gift supports 67 parishes and 74 Catholic Schools. This includes Educational Programs, Emergency Projects, Operational Support, Service to the Poor, and Outreach Programs.

At our Masses this weekend, we welcome Sima Perez, Principal, and Fr. Juan Silva, Pastor, from St. Odilia School, Los Angeles. We will also hear from representatives of their community: Yesenia Rodriguez (mom), Angel Perez (Alumni & Current College Student), Nazareth Rangel (7th Grader), Argelia Toledo (former parent and current grandmother), Argie Quezada (mom to Jaylyn - 1st Grade and Jocelyn - 3rd Grade), Richard Monteilh (Vice Principal, former Middle School teacher with 20+ years at St. Odilia), Anabella Sanchez (mom to Vivian - 3rd Grade) and the Ozuna FamilyRosemarie (mom), Norberto (dad), Samuel (Alumni) and Annalie (Alumni).  We will be sharing their stories over the next few weeks to not only highlight their community, but to join our communities together in prayer.

Whether you attend Mass in-person, or virtually this weekend, we welcome our guests with open hearts and hopefully, ready to make a pledge! Thank you to all those who are continuing their pledges from previous years, we pray together that as part of the #LACatholics community, we can continue to thrive and always lead "Forward with Faith."
