Drowning is one of the leading causes of death for children. If you plan to take your children to the pool or beach this summer, you want to pick out a safe swimsuit. Studies have shown that light colored, or white swimwear is very hard to see underwater, making the wearer seem to disappear. The light colors are even more undetectable with water agitation. Stick to bright, bold colors and neon patterns to be able to spot your children when they are playing and swimming. For more information, read the TODAY article “Why swim instructors are warning parents against certain swimsuit colors” at https://www.today.com/parents/color-test-kids-swimsuits-show-best-colors-are-neon-t219805.
