Fr. Jonathan Nestico is a native Angelino, having been raised in the Santa Clarita Valley (think Magic Mountain). He was ordained to the Priesthood on August 8, 2020, on the plaza of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. He is the oldest of 3 children, having two younger sisters; he also shares a birthday with one of his sisters, and no, he is not a twin! Prior to entering the seminary in August of 2013, he attended Cal State University, Northridge, where he graduated with a B.S. in Marketing. After graduating from college, he worked in retail until he realized his calling to serve the people of God as a priest.
Fr. Jonathan comes to St. Monica’s after spending the first three years of his priesthood at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in his hometown of Santa Clarita. Fr. Jonathan comes with a servant’s heart, a love for the liturgy, and sharing God’s grace and mercy with His people. During his downtime Fr. Jonathan can be found roaming around the Happiest Place on Earth (Disneyland); poorly playing golf; crocheting; watching movies, football, baseball, hockey, or reruns of The Office.
