It is important to understand how we, as Catholic adults, can make a difference in protecting the lives of our children and young people. Every adult, whether they are parents or not, can contribute to the safety of the children in our communities in a variety of ways. Be a trusted adult in the lives of the children and young people around you, so that they can turn to you when they need help. Stay up-to-date on the Church’s policies and procedures regarding child safety and speak up if you see something that falls outside of them. Caring adults who are invested in the safety of our most vulnerable Church members can and are protecting children every day.
