One way to keep children from creating an isolated online virtual world is to keep the conversation going in real time, in person. Ask your children what they do online: who do they talk to? What are they reading and researching? Have they watched any interesting videos? Making the online space part of your regular everyday conversations can help children bridge the gap between virtual engagement and reality.
