Young Ministering Adults (YMA), the fellowship group for parishioners in their 20s and 30s, provides spiritual, educational, and social activities and programs that support young adults as they discover new roles in family, work, society, and the Catholic Church. Join us for fellowship and fun!

A team of young adults and a staff coordinator lead the ministry. Along with activities at the parish, the YMA Core Team makes it a priority to invite and welcome young adults to the community and to provide information to its leaders and participants. The ministry also seeks to improve the involvement, participation, and integration of young adults in the parish and advocates for the concerns of young adults today.

 YMA Spring Retreat 2025

When things are rough, what do you come back to?

What is your foundation? In the lows of your life, where do you go?

BASECAMP - Look to the rock from which you were hewn, this year's YMA Spring Retreat, explores what our own personal base of practices, mindset, and heart look like now and what it can become, bolstered and replenished in the resilience that God can provide.

What is a retreat? A retreat is an opportunity (often multiple days long and overnight) to remove yourself from daily life to spend time with Jesus. While it’s also a great opportunity to meet new people and connect with others, it’s primarily a chance to deepen your faith by spending time in the beautiful world God created and making space and silence for Him to speak. Jesus himself retreated many times and religious retreats are a chance for us to walk in his footsteps in this way. In short, a retreat is giving yourself the opportunity to have an encounter with Christ.

A few details...

This is an overnight retreat for young adults in their 20s and 30s, so retreatants should plan to come to Serra Retreat Center (https://serraretreat.com/)  at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 2nd, and be there until we conclude at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4th.  Retreatants are to stay onsite all weekend. There is no leaving the site for other activities.
