Give back in a big way this weekend with St. Monica!

 

Santa Monica Beach Clean Up

Location: 7Nort 930 CA-1, Santa Monica, CA 90403 *Adjacent to the parking lot.

 

St. Monica Green Team hosts an effort to keep our community safe and healthy, with a family friendly beach clean up! Great for families to serve together! Service hours are available. Students interested in a leadership role: show up at 8:00 a.m. to help set up practice the safety talk.

 

We will be serving at Santa Monica Beach, adjacent to parking lot 

 

mapVolunteers can park at either beach lot 7N or 6N just south of the Jonathan Club. Beach parking is $12. You can also park at St. Monica’s and walk down the incline or ride your bike. Registration will be along the bike bath in front of Perry's. 

 

Make sure to bring sun protection and a reusable water bottle. Don't forget to bring a signed waiver: CLICK HERE to download.

 

Masks are mandatory. 

 

All ages welcome. Youth 17 and under need to come with a parent or guardian.

St. Robert's Center Weekend Food Pantry

Spend the morning at the Catholic Charities St. Robert’s Center Weekend Food Pantry in Venice!  We’ll be serving the Center’s clients, many of them who are experiencing homelessness.  We’ll be serving a light breakfast, making sandwiches & packing lunches, and distributing toiletries as available. 

 

Catholic Charities requires that all volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. 

(Acceptable forms of proof are your vaccine card or an electronic record, including a QR code.)

 

Masks are mandatory. This opportunity welcomes volunteers 18 & over only.

Nourish LA at St. Mark's Church

Location: St. Mark Parish, 940 Coeur D'Alene, Venice, CA 90291 *Park on the streets near the Parish.

 

Volunteer at St Marks’s Catholic Church in Venice for their weekly food distribution for families in need.

 

Masks are required on the property, please be sure to follow all COVID-19 safety guidelines.

 

Volunteers must check-in and fill out our Volunteer Agreement form. There are no exceptions.

Volunteering at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is one of the best volunteer opportunities in LA. By donating a few hours of your time, you’ll help us provide food for the 2 million people in Los Angeles County who face food insecurity.

 

Volunteers help us by boxing, sorting and gleaning food that is later distributed through our network of more than 700 agency partners to our neighbors in need.

 

IMPORTANT THINGS FOR EACH VOLUNTEER TO KNOW

  • Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to check-in
  • All volunteers must wear closed toed shoes
  • Minimum age requirement to volunteer is 18 (sorry, no exceptions)
  • No walk-ins allowed; each person must register ahead of time

Put love into action by preparing sandwiches and toiletry kits for the most vulnerable in Santa Monica with our partner, Metropolis Church.

 

All ages welcome. Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
